Billionaires ready to spend £20m on midfielder
Chelsea could lose midfielder Florent Malouda in January, as mega rich Russian club Anzhi are interested in the player. With huge financial backing, Anzhi have cast their eyes on another Chelsea player after signing Yuri Zhirkov in the summer for a reported £18m and have made no secret of their desire to strengthen their squad with Premier League players as owner Suleyman Kerimov looks to generate success and gain Champions League football. Malouda was linked with a move to Juventus in the summer and the arrival of Juan Mata looked set to allow Malouda to move, however he stayed and the 31-year-old is reportedly happy at the club. Chelsea would look to get as much money as they can for Malouda if they sanctioned the sale and a fee of around £20m would need to be received.
