Chelsea are not out of the title race yet

Paul Elliott has told talkSPORT it is important to keep Chelsea’s defeats to QPR and Arsenal in context. Before last weekend’s west London derby at Loftus Road, the Blues had the chance to leapfrog Manchester United into second place in the Premier League but defeats to QPR and Arsenal have left them four points behind United and nine points adrift of Manchester City who lead the table. As a consequence the ability and experience of Andre Villas-Boas has been called into question but former Chelsea defender Elliott has urged fans not to hit the panic button, claiming there is a long way to go in the title race.
