Respect to ex team-mates does Mata

Juan Mata expects next week to be 'special and very emotional'. The £23m Spaniard returns to old club Valencia in the Champions League – just a month after leaving. Valencia were reluctant to let him leave but badly needed the cash, like many of the La Liga clubs. Mata can expect a rousing reception from understanding fans but his celebrations will be heavily muted if he scores. He said: “It is going to be a very special and emotional match for me playing so soon after leaving Valencia. But my priority now is to win for Chelsea. But I will try to be very respectful if I do score and not celebrate. The fact of the matter is that I was there for four years and had a wonderful time. Everything was very positive and I had great team-mates there with whom I still keep in touch.”
